Numbers lifted slightly this sale with lambs showing the increase. Lamb quality was similar to that of previous sales with good numbers of well finished and grain assisted lines on offer. The usual buyers were present and competing in a mostly better market. Light lambs lifted $5 to sell from $111 to $118/head. Trade weights were $3 to $7 dearer with prices ranging from $119 to $146/head. Heavy lambs held firm to sell from $141 to $152/head. Extra heavy weights were $2 to $3 easier and received from $150 to $200/head. Carcase prices averaged from 575c to 610c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality continues to be mixed. Prices lifted with Merino ewes selling from $98 to $193/head. Crossbred ewes sold from $96 to $170 and Dorper ewes ranged from $88 to $149/head. Merino wethers ranged in price from $104 to $194/head.
