Yarded – 49,150hd   Lambs – 37,850   Sheep – 11,300

Numbers jumped significantly this sale with both lambs and mutton showing the increase. Lamb quality was very mixed with good numbers of well finished lambs offered along with the plainer secondary lines. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.

Light lambs eased $3 selling from $107 to $120/head. Trade weights were $4 to $6 easier with prices ranging from $120 to $158/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were well supplied and slipped $5 to $8/head. Heavy lambs sold from $150 to $168 and extra heavies ranged from $157 to $213/head. Carcase prices averaged from 620c to 657c/kg.

Mutton numbers lifted and quality was very mixed. There was an increased percentage of plainer lighter sheep offered along with the better lines. Prices eased $3 to $4 with Merino ewes selling from $80 to $140/head. Crossbreds sold from $86 to $138 and Dorper ewes received from $79 to $120/head.
