Numbers fell slightly this sale though quality showed a marked improvement. There was a better offering of well finished and feeder cattle available with fewer secondary types yarded. Yearlings made up the majority of the yarding. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market compared to the previous sale.

Yearling steers to processors lifted 8c with prices ranging from 291c to 349c/kg for medium and heavy weights. Those to feedlots lifted 5c to 10c/kg. Middle weights sold from 290c to 352c and heavies from 290c to 346c/kg. Light weights to restockers reached 406c/kg. The heifer portion to processors lifted 15c/kg reflecting the improved quality on offer. Prices ranged from 300c to 308c for middle weights and 288c to 324c/kg for heavies. A limited selection of heifers suitable to feed received from 280c to 317c/kg.

Heavy steers and bullocks were 10c better to sell from 304c to 325c/kg. Grown heifers received from 265c to 310c/kg. Cows were 2c to 5c better with heavy 2 score selling from 210c to 227c and 3 scores from 223c to 236c/kg.
