Numbers lifted this sale and quality continued to be mixed. There was a good offering of well finished and grain assisted cattle offered along with the plainer secondary types. There was an improved yarding of females on offer. The usual buyers were present and competing in a fairly steady market that fluctuated with quality.
Medium weight yearling steers to feed held firm selling from 265c to 336c/kg. Heavy weights received from 261c to 317c/kg. Those to processors were firm to 5c/kg dearer. Medium weights ranged from 290c to 338c and heavy weights made from 270c to 311c/kg. The heifer portion to processors were firm to 4c better, ranging from 268c to 334c/kg. Those to feed received from 260c to 298/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were fairly steady, selling from 265c to 310c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 256c to 265c/kg. Cows were firm to 3c/kg better. Heavy 2 score from 225c to 235c and the 3 and 4 score sold from 235c to 254c/kg.
