Numbers lifted this sale as the drier weather continues. Quality continues to be mixed with some handy lines of well finished grain assisted cattle offered along with the plainer secondary types. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.
Yearling steers to processors were back by 6c/kg. Middle weights sold from 260c to 288c and heavy weights received 255c to 286c/kg. Middle and heavy weight steers to feed were back 15c to range in price from 260c to 290c/kg. The heifer portion to processors held firm to 3c easier to sell from 250c to 300c/kg. Those to feed eased 5c to 6c to range from 250c to 278c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were 3c to 4c easier to sell from 255c to 281c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 220c to 261c/kg. Cows held firm with heavy 2 score from 210c to 230c and 3 score 222c to 238c/kg
