Numbers lifted this sale although the continuing dry weather saw quality remain very mixed. There was a large percentage of plainer cattle penned along with the better finished lines. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that held steady, but did fluctuate with quality. Yearling steers to processors lifted 5c to sell from 245c to 285c/kg. Those to feed held firm, middle weights made from 240c to 313c and heavy weights received from 250c to 310c/kg. The heifer portion to processors was firm to receive from 245c to 258c/kg. Those to feed eased 5c to 7c to sell from 230c to 258c for medium weights and from 238c to 259c/kg for heavy weights. Heavy steers and bullocks were firm to 3c better making from 259c to 272c/kg. Grown heifers reached 245c/kg. Cows eased 6c to 7c with heavy 2 score making from 174c to 195c and 3 score from 186c to 208c/kg.
