Numbers held steady this sale and quality was fair. There were some good lines of well finished and grain assisted cattle offered along with the plainer types. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering along with a good penning of cows. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to slightly dearer market. Yearling steers to processors held steady with prices from 265c to 281c/kg. Those to feed were firm to 3c easier with middle weights selling from 260c to 304c and heavy weights from 250c to 291c/kg. Yearling heifers to processors held firm to make from 240c to 270c/kg. Those to feed sold from 240c to 264c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were 3c to 4c better to make from 269c to 278c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 225c to 248c/kg. Cows regained last week’s decline to lift 6c to 8c/kg. Heavy 2 score cows sold from 172c to 206c and 3 score 196c to 213c/kg.
