Numbers eased this sale and quality continued to be very mixed. There were some well finished and grain assisted cattle penned along with plainer secondary types. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering with only a small offering of grown cattle. The usual buyers were present and competing in a steady market. Yearling steers to processors eased 6c to sell from 266c to 285c/kg. Middle weights to feeders lifted 6c to range from 266c to 325c/kg. Heavy weights averaged firm to receive from 260c to 313c/kg. Light weights to feed and restockers reached 335c/kg. The heifer portion to processors was steady depending on quality, receiving from 250c to 306c/kg. Those to feeders were also steady to sell from 255c to 295c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were firm to 2c easier to range from 266c to 278c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 252c to 259c/kg. Cows were firm with heavy 2 score selling from 215c to 224c and 3 scores from 225c to 238c/kg. The best heavy bull reached 267c/kg.
