Numbers lifted this sale and quality continues to be very mixed. There was a large percentage of plainer cattle yarded though there was still some good lines of well finished cattle available. The usual buyers were present and competing in a mostly firm to better market. Vealer heifers sold from 260c to 275c/kg. Yearling steers to feed were 3c to 5c better, with middle and heavy weights selling from 260c to 308c/kg. Those to processors were also 2c to 3c dearer, to range in price from 254c to 280c/kg. The heifer portion to processors held fairly steady, to sell from 247c to 282c for middle weights, while heavy weights received 235c to 256c/kg. Those to feed sold from 240c to 265c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks lifted 5c to 6c, to range from 255c to 268c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 217c to 242c/kg. Cows eased slightly on a reduced quality yarding. Heavy 2 scores sold from 178c to 198c and 3 scores received from 192c to 210c/kg.
