Numbers remained steady this sale and quality was very mixed. There were some handy lines of well finished and grain assisted cattle penned along with a larger percentage of plainer secondary types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market. Yearling steers to processors lifted 7c to sell from 255c to 284c/kg. Those to feed were 5c to 8c/kg better. Middle weights sold from 265c to 310c with heavy weights receiving 240c to 298c/kg. The heifer portion to processors was 3c to 4c easier selling from 235c to 270c/kg. Those to feed sold from 240c to 266c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were 4c to 5c better to make from 264c to 284c/kg. Grown heifers were 10c better to receive from 242c to 266c/kg. Cows were 2c to 3c/kg dearer. Heavy 2 score selling from 184c to 204c and 3 score 202c to 215c/kg.
