Numbers reduced slightly this sale though quality showed no improvement. The continuing dry season saw a large percentage of plainer secondary cattle penned along with the few better finished grain assisted pens. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market. Yearling steers eased 10c to 15c/kg. Processors paid from 256c to 272c/kg for medium and heavy weights. Middle weights to feed sold from 240c to 297c and heavy weights sold from 235c to 288c/kg. The heifer portion showed the biggest change, easing 20c to 25c/kg. Processors paid from 211c to 256c while those to feed received from 210c to 239c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were limited in number and sold from 238c to 274c/kg. Grown heifers received from 186c to 240/kg. Cows were 6c to 12c/kg cheaper. Heavy 2 score sold from 150c to 186c and 3 score received 181c to 200c/kg
