Numbers lifted this sale though quality continues to be mixed. There were a large percentage of plain cattle yarded though there was still some good lines of well finished and grain assisted pens available. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that varied with quality but held mostly steady. The few vealer steers and heifers sold from 225c to 262c/kg. Yearling steers to feed held steady though price did fluctuate with quality offered. Middle weights sold from 241c to 300c and heavy weights received from 240c to 284c/kg. Those to processors sold from 245c to 279c/kg. The heifer portion to feed received from 230c to 260/kg. Those to processors ranged in price from 230c to 270c with a few exceptional B muscles reaching 304c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were limited in number though quality was good and these sold to a top of 279c/kg. Grown heifers received from 205c to 259c/kg. The better 3 score cows lifted 5c to sell from 185c to 207c with 2 score holding steady to sell from 164c to 184c/kg.
