Numbers lifted this sale and quality was similar to that of the previous week. There was good numbers of well-bred lines offered along with the plainer and secondary types. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering. Most of the usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market.

Yearling steers to processors lifted 5c/kg. Middle weights sold from 305c to 341c and heavies 290c to 338c/kg. Those to feed held fairly steady with middle weights selling from 295c to 370c and heavies 290c to 340c/kg. The heifer portion was firm to slightly easier, partly related to quality. Processors paid from 270c to 342c for medium weights and 280c to 330c/kg for the heavier end. Those to feeders ranged in price from 300c to 334c/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were limited and received from 290c to 316c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 257c to 290c/kg. Cows were firm to 4c/kg better. Heavy 2 score selling from 233c to 237c and 3 score 236c to 247c/kg. The best heavy bull reached 265c/kg.
