After a strong sale last week numbers lifted this sale with an increase in lambs yarded. Lamb quality was similar to that of previous sales with good numbers of finished lambs on offer. Heavy and extra heavyweight lambs made up the majority of the offering. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to easier market.

Light lambs were limited and sold from $116 to $124/head. Trade weights were firm to $3 easier with prices ranging from $128 to $160/head. Heavy and extra heavyweights were also firm to $3/head easier. Heavy lambs sold from $159 to $168 and extra heavyweights received from $167 to $230/head.

Mutton numbers remained steady with Merinos making up the majority. Quality was very mixed but prices remained strong. Merino ewes sold from $90 to $176/head and crossbreds received from $100 to $171/head.
