Numbers remained similar this sale though quality was reduced. Lamb quality was very mixed with a large percentage of plainer lambs penned along with the better well finished lines. There was an increased number of light and trade weight lambs penned. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market. Light lambs averaged $115/head. Trade weights were up to $9 easier with prices from $117 to $140/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were also $5 to $8/head easier. Heavy lambs sold from $137 to $158 and extra heavies received from $147 to $208/head. Carcase prices averaged from 577c to 616c/kg cwt. Mutton quality was very mixed with an increased offering of light sheep yarded. Prices were again strong with Merino ewes selling from $98 to $163/head. Crossbred ewes sold from $103 to $176 and Dorper ewes reached $137/head. Merino wethers sold from $103 to $180/head.
