Numbers lifted this sale with lambs showing the increase. Lamb quality was fair with good numbers of finished lambs offered along with the plainer types. Heavy and extra heavy weights made up the majority of the yarding. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market. Light lambs sold from $113 to $116/head. Trade weights were $4 to $7 easier to make from $117 to $148/head. Heavy and extra heavy weights showed the biggest change, easing $7 to $10/head. Heavy lambs received from $136 to $158 and extra heavies sold from $153 to $220/head. Carcase prices averaged from 560c to 590c/kg cwt. Mutton quality was fair with a good offering of heavy sheep penned. Prices lifted with Merino ewes selling from $95 to $170/head. Crossbreds sold from $93 to $174 and Dorper ewes sold from $77 to $168/head. Merino wethers made from $88 to $144 with crossbred reaching $183/head.
