Numbers declined this sale with lambs showing the decrease. Quality was similar to that of previous sales with good numbers of well finished lambs penned along with the plainer types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market. Light lambs lifted $2 selling from $106 to $119/head. Trade weights were $4 to $5 better from $118 to $148/head. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were well supplied and sold $5 to $7/head dearer. Heavy lambs sold from $145 to $158 and extra heavy weights received from $154 to $225/head. Carcase prices averaged 600c to 630c/kg cwt. Mutton numbers lifted and quality was good. Merinos made up the majority of the yarding and prices lifted $6 to $7/head. Merino ewes sold from $99 to $165/head. Crossbred ewes received from $105 to $185/head. Dorper ewes sold from $98 to $160/head. Merino wethers made from $100 to $182/head.
