In 1985 William (Bill) Dunn, second generation Stock & Station Agent purchased into the business. Bill, born and bred in Forbes with the advantage of knowledge of the local area, the farmers, and their needs the business prospered. In 1993 Timothy Mackay jointed the partnership, also second generation Stock & Station Agent was raised within the livestock industry, who’s father Peter Mackay still works in the local area today.
With the business expanding so did the office space, moving the business to new premises just up the road at 147 Lachlan Street, where they still operate today.
In 2008 Randal Grayson joined with the company. Between them Bill, Tim and Randal have a wealth of knowledge in the cattle and sheep sectors, with clients expanding throughout the Central West area. There have been many changes over the decades with the biggest seeing the development and now operating Central West Livestock Exchange now offering clients a state of the art market centre for their livestock sales.
Over the years Forbes Livestock & Agency Co has grown to employ over 20 full time and part time employees. They are specialists in all livestock sales including, fat, private, and paddock sales, assessors for auction plus and clearing sales.
