The final sale for 2019 saw numbers more than halve. Quality was very mixed with mostly plainer cattle penned along with a few better
finished types. Not all the usual buyers were present and competing along with restockers in a cheaper market.
Yearling steers to processors eased 4c to sell from 250c to 275c/kg. Those to feed were 10c easier with prices making from 250c to 277c/kg
for medium and heavy weights. Restockers were active on the store types paying from 220c to 276c/kg. The heifer portion to processors sold
from 260c to 279c/kg. Those to feed received from 220c to 271c with restockers paying from 199c to 253c/kg for the lighter plainer types.
Heavy steers and bullocks were limited and mostly plainer secondary types reaching 213c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 180c to 240c/kg. Cows
were 2c to 6c/kg easier. Heavy 2 score cows sold from 178c to 196c and 3 score received from 200c to 222c/kg.
