Total Yarding – 1965hd

After no sale last week numbers showed a significant increase. Quality continues to be mixed with both finished and plainer cattle penned.
There was a larger percentage of grown cattle on offer though yearlings still made up the majority of the yarding. The usual buyers were
present and competing in a dearer market.
Yearling steers to feed jumped 20c/kg. Medium weights sold from 277c to 348c and heavy weights received 317c to 344c/kg. Those to
processors were limited and sold from 270c to 311c/kg. The heifer portion to feed also lifted 20c to receive from 270c to 319c/kg for medium
and heavy weights. Processors paid from 250c to 310c/kg for the better types.
Heavy steers and heifers remained steady to sell from 250c to 310c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 250c to 299c/kg. A handy penning of cows
saw heavy 2 scores jump 20c to sell from 218c to 258c while the 3 scores held firm to receive from 250c to 277c/kg. The best heavy bull
reached 295c/kg.
