Total Yarding – 1303hd

Numbers jumped this sale after last week’s price lift. Quality continues to be mixed with both finished and plainer cattle penned. The usual
buyers were present and competing along with restockers in a market that held firm to slightly better after the previous sales significant rise.
Vealer steers and heifers to restockers sold from 349c to 440c/kg. Yearling steers were firm to a couple cents dearer with processors paying
from 308c to 363c/kg. Middle weights to feed sold from 298c to 393c and heavy weights reached 368c/kg. Restockers paid from 300c to
415c/kg. The heifer portion to processors sold from 330c to 363c while those to feed received from 319c to 373c/kg for middle and heavy
weights.
Heavy steers and bullocks sold from 295c to 323c/kg. Grown heifers received from 308c to 330c/kg. Cows eased slightly after last weeks jump
with the exception of a few outstanding pens. Heavy 2 score cows sold from 272c to 293c and 3 scores received from 288c to 315c/kg.
