Numbers lifted slightly this sale and quality was good. There were some handy lines of grain assisted cattle offered along with the lighter types
more suited to feed and restockers. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market.
Yearling steers to feed lifted 10c to 20c/kg. Middle weights sold from 337c to 441c and heavy weights made from 379c to 437c/kg. Lighter
steers to restockers attracted strong competition to sell from 356c to 478c/kg. Yearling heifers to processors were 10c dearer to receive from
330c to 399c/kg. Those to feed sold from 320c to 408c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were limited but reached 340c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 280c to 335c/kg. Heavy 2 score cows lifted 15c to sell
from 291c to 300c/kg. Heavy 3 score cows held firm to receive from 297c to 304c/kg. The best heavy bull reached 338c/kg.
