Numbers lifted this sale and quality was very mixed. There were a few lines of finished cattle offered along with a large percentage of plainer
pens. The usual buyers were present and competing in firm to easier market that fluctuated with quality.
A reduced quality offering of yearling steers saw prices ease accordingly. Processors paid from 339c to 408c/kg for middle and heavy weights
while those to feed sold from 340c to 425c/kg. The heifer portion was firm to 5c/kg dearer. Processors paid from 314c to 407c for the better
types with those to feed making from 379c to 406c/kg for middle and heavy weights.
Heavy steers and bullocks received from 325c to 348c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 292c to 365c/kg. Cows were 10c to 15c/kg cheaper on a
reduced quality offering. Heavy 2 score sold from 260c to 288c and 3 scores received from 278c to 292c/kg. The best heavy bull reached
284c/kg
