Numbers lifted this sale and quality was also improved. There was an excellent selection of cattle penned with good numbers of well bred finished cattle offered along with the few plainer types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm market.

Light weight steers to restockers sold from 420c to 520c/kg. Vealer steers and heifers to processors received from 405c to 433c/kg. Yearling steers to feed were 6c to 8c better particularly on the well bred types.

Middle weights sold from 365c to 464c and heavy weights received from 370c to 415c/kg. The finished cattle to processors held firm to sell from 365c to 430c/kg. Yearling heifers also held steady with processors paying from 350c to 434c/kg. Those to feed ranged in price from 350c to 390/kg. Heavy steers and bullocks were firm to 5c better to sell from 335c to 380c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 312c to 350c/kg. Cows held firm with heavy weights receiving from 288c to 305c/kg. The best heavy bull reached 320c/kg.
