Total Yarding – 678Hd

Numbers eased slightly and the quality was good. Yearlings made up the bulk of the yarding and there was plenty of weight. Just a few
butcher vealers were offered and there was a very limited supply of grown steers. Just under 60 cows were penned. Young cattle sold to a firm
to dearer trend and cows eased.
Butcher vealers sold from 460c to 497c/kg. Medium weight feeder steers were firm, only breed effecting the average, and ranged from 400c to
470c/kg. Heavy feeders were firm to dearer with more weight and finish purchased and ranged between 430c and 476c/kg. Heavy feeder
heifers were up to 10c dearer selling from 438c to 462c/kg. Heavy trade cattle were firm, with steers reaching 480c and heifers 365c to
453c/kg.
Grown steers reached 384c and heifers lifted 7c to 10c with the heavy weights 357c to 380c and lighter weights to feed reached 393c/kg. The
limited run of cows had prices 9c to 11c cheaper with medium weights 255c to 282c and heavy 3 and 4 score cows 272c to 309c/kg.
