Total Yarding – 629 Hd

Numbers fell this sale with agents yarding 629 head. Quality continues to be mixed with both well finished and plainer types penned. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering along with a handy penning of cows. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market.

Yearling steers to feed lifted 20c with prices ranging from 290 to 335c/kg. Finished types to processors received from 281 to 330c/kg. The heifer portion was 5 to 10c better with those to feed selling from 263 to 304c/kg. The finished types to processors sold from 270 to 324c/kg.

Heavy steers and bullocks sold from 260 to 313c/kg. Grown heifers reached 270c/kg. Cows lifted 15 to 20c/kg. Heavy 2 score ranging from 185 to 228c with 3 score selling from 239 to 245c/kg.
