Numbers declined this week and quality was similar to that of previous sales. There was a large percentage of plainer cattle yarded along with the few grain assisted well finished lines. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that was firm to slightly better for the well finished quality lines. Middle weight yearling steers to feed sold from 220c to 297c, while heavy weights made from 267c to 296c/kg. Those to processors were 3c to 4c better and made from 245c to 292c/kg. The heifer portion to feed received from 235c to 255c/kg. Finished lines to processors lifted with an improved quality offering and made from 222c to 316c for medium weights and 239c to 288c/kg for heavy weights. Heavy steers and bullocks sold from 255c to 279c/kg. Grown heifers made from 198c to 260c/kg. Cows eased 8c, with heavy 3 scores selling from 178c to 203c while 2 scores made from 155c to 192c/kg.
