Numbers reduced this sale and quality also declined. The continuing dry conditions saw plain secondary cattle make up the
majority of the yarding with only a few well finished grain fed pens available. The usual buyers were present and competing in a
cheaper market that reflected the quality offered.
Yearling steers to processors were limited and eased 8c to sell from 250c to 290c/kg. Those to feed were 4c to 7c/kg easier.
Light weights sold from 230c to 260c, middle weights from 230c to 295c and heavy weights received from 265c to 297c/kg. The
heifer portion to processors sold from 229c to 280c/kg. Those to feed eased slightly with light and middle weights selling from
220c to 253c and heavy weights made from 235c to 245c/kg.
Grown heifers sold from 230c to 256c/kg. Cows held steady with heavy 2 score selling from 146c to 189c and 3 score 190c to
219c/kg.
