Forbes Cattle Sale Market Report

25/06/18

Yarded – 1699hd

Numbers eased slightly this sale and quality was also similar to the previous sale. There were some good runs of well finished
grain assisted lines penned along with the secondary plainer types more suited to feed. The usual buyers were present and
competing in a firm to easier market.
Yearling steers to processors eased 3c to sell from 250 to 296c/kg. Those to feed were well supplied and eased 3c to 6c/kg.
Middle weights sold from 265c to 296c and heavy weights received 260c to 320c/kg. The heifer portion to processors was 4c to
8c easier with prices from 234c to 298c/kg. Those to feed eased more, but this was partly due to the quality offered to receive
from 200c to 250c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were firm to sell from 262c to 290c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 215c to 255c/kg. Heavy 2 score cows
were back 8c to sell from 152c to 188c while the better 3 scores lifted 7c to receive from 192c to 215c/kg.
