Yarded – 1719hd

Numbers remained steady, although quality continues to be very mixed. There was a good offering of finished lines, which had
received supplementary feed, along with plainer secondary types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market
that was strong on the better lines, but weakened as quality decreased.
Heavy weight yearling steers to processors were firm, receiving from 265c to 312c/kg. Medium weights lifted 9c to receive from
286c to 317c/kg. Those to feed sold from 240c to 332c for medium weights and 285c to 337c/kg for the heavier portion. A
quality offering of heifers to processors lifted 12c to 14c to sell from 292c to 304c/kg. The plainer types to feedlots decreased 6c
to 10c to sell from 235c to 285c/kg.
An improved offering of heavy steers and bullocks lifted 3c to 5c to sell from 278c to 310c/kg. Cows showed the biggest
improvement, jumping 20c/kg. Heavy 2 score cows sold from 172c to 239c and those with a score of 3 score received from 215c
to 265c/kg.
