Numbers remained similar this sale and quality continued to be very mixed. There were some good lines of supplementary fed
animals offered along with a large percentage of plainer secondary cattle. The usual buyers were present and competing in a
fairly steady market, although one that fluctuated with quality offered.
Yearling steers to processors were firm to 3c dearer and sold from 255c to 315c/kg. Those to feed were fairly steady and sold
from 260c to 329c/kg. The heifer portion to processors declined 10c, mostly dependent of quality. Medium and heavy weights
sold from 210c to 300c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks held firm to sell from 258c to 312c/kg. Grown heifers received from 256c to 280c/kg for the better
types. Cows decreased 5c to 10c with heavy 2 score cows selling from 180c to 234c and 3 scores from 228c to 258/kg.
