Numbers more than halved this sale and quality was again very mixed. There was some handy lines of supplementary fed
yearlings offered along with the plainer types. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering. The usual buyers were present and
competing in a dearer market.
Yearling steers to processors lifted 4c to 6c/kg. Middle weights sold from 279c to 308c and heavy weights made from 243c to
298c/kg. Those to feed were 8c to 10c better to receive from 247c to 295c/kg. Restockers were again active, paying 160c to
295c/kg for the lighter types. Yearling heifers to processors lifted 8c selling from 242c to 296c, while those to feed were 10c
better to make from 219c to 250c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were limited and sold from 270c to 280c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 218c to 249c/kg. Cows
increased 15c/kg and more in places, particularly on the plainer cows. Heavy 2 scores sold from 150c to 217c and 3 scores made
from 194c to 234c/kg.
