Numbers increased this sale, while quality continues to be very mixed. There were some good lines of well finished
supplementary fed cattle offered, along with plainer secondary types. Yearlings made up the majority of the yarding. The usual
buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market, particularly on the better cattle.
Yearling steers to processors lifted 5c to make from 280c to 299c/kg. Those to feed were 15c dearer, with middle weights
making from 260c to 316c and heavy weights receiving from 255c to 327c/kg. The heifer portion to processors held firm to
make from 235c to 280c, while those to feed eased 4c to receive from 200c to 275c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks gained 8c to 10c to make from 269c to 298c/kg. Grown heifers sold from 264c to 278c/kg. Cows were
4c better, with heavy 2 scores making from 155c to 209c and 3 scores receiving from 200c to 241c/kg.
