Numbers lifted this sale, with yearlings and cows showing the change. Quality continues to be very mixed, with a larger
percentage of plainer cattle yarded, along with a better offering of supplementary fed finished lines. The usual buyers were
present and competing in a market that was similar to the previous sales.
Yearling steers to processors held steady, making from 246c to 268c/kg. Those to feed received from 228c to 260c for middle
weights and from 235c to 275c/kg for heavy weights. The heifer portion held fairly steady, with processors paying from 210c to
254c/g. Those to feedlots varied in price from 204c to 244c/kg for medium and heavy weights. Heavy steers and bullocks were
limited in numbers and reached 264c/kg.
The better grown heifers eased, making from 210c to 231c/kg. Cows decreased 5c, with heavy 2 scores receiving from 140c to
185c, while 3 scores made from 180 to 202c/kg.
