Numbers lifted this sale and quality also improved. There was an increased offering of better finished cattle available along with
the plainer types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market.
Yearling steers to processors sold fom 263c to 320c/kg. Those to feed lifted 10c with medium weights ranging from 240c to 310c
and heavy weights from 270c to 309c/kg. Restockers paid from 235c to 286c/kg for the ligther plainer types. A quality run of
heifers saw prices jump 15c/kg. Those to processors sld from 230c to 294c for medium weights, 255c to 299c for heavy weights
with B muscles reaching 315c/kg. Those to feed ranged from 245c to 276c/kg.
Grown heifers showed a big increase on a quality offering with prices ranging from 240c to 275c/kg. Cows lifted 15c to 20c with
heavy 2 score selling from 184c to 220c and 3 score receiving from 205c to 233c/kg
