Numbers lifted this sale and quality continues to be very mixed. There was a large of percentage of plainer cattle yarded, along with the few
better finished supplementary fed lines. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering. The usual buyers were present and competing, along
with competition from restockers in a fairly steady market.
Vealer steers and heifers to restockers sold from 186c to 265c/kg. Yearling steers to processors eased 4c to receive from 240c to 313c/kg.
Those to feed held fairly steady, as middle weights sold from 275c to 304c and heavy weights received from 270c to 312c/kg. Restockers paid
from 220c to 285c/kg for the lighter plainer types. The heifer portion to processors eased slightly, partly related to quality, with prices from
220c to 306c/kg. Those to feed held steady to receive from 230c to 268c and restockers paid from 205c to 260c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks sold from 270c to 299c, while grown heifers received from 195c to 215c/kg. Heavy 2 score cows lifted 6c to make
from 162c to 202c, while 3 score cows eased 8c to receive from 180c to 225c/kg.
