With no sale last week numbers increased, although quality continues to be very mixed. There was a large percentage of plainer cattle penned
along with the few better finished types. Yearlings made up the majority of the offering along with a good number of cows. The usual buyers
were present and competing in a fairly steady market.
Yearling steers to processors eased 4c to 6c, selling from 270c to 310c/kg. Those to feed were steady but fluctuated with quality. Middle
weights sold from 220c to 304c with heavy weights making from 250c to 290c/kg. Restockers paid up to 247c/kg for the lighter store types.
The heifer portion to processors was 5c to 8c better, selling from 245c to 294c/kg. Those to feed received from 240c to 282c for medium
weights with light weights making from 231c to 265c/kg. Restockers paid from 180c to 243c/kg.
Heavy steers and bullocks were limited but held firm to sell from 280c to 309c/kg. Grown heifers received from 240c to 260c/kg. Cows were 8c
better with heavy 2 scores selling from 188c to 228c and 3 score selling from 224c o 270c/kg
