Numbers remained similar this sale and quality was also similar to that of the previous week. There were some good lines of finished lambs
offered along with the plainer store types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a fairly steady market.
New season lambs to restockers attracted good competition to sell from $110 to $166/head. Trade weights were fairly steady selling from
$150 to $178 and heavy lambs sold from $176 to $204/head. Old trade weight lambs were also firm to receive from $155 to $164/head.
Heavy weight lambs sold from $179 to $195 with extra heavies ranging in price from $215 to $233/head. Carcase prices averaged from 736c
to 777c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality was fair with some good lines of medium and heavy weight mutton penned.
Prices were strong with Merino ewes selling from $111 To $203/head. Crossbred ewes sold from $116 to $236 with Dorper ewes receiving
from $111 to $204/head. Merino wethers sold from $103 to $184/head.
