After patchy rain in the drawing area numbers remained similar this sale. Lamb quality continues to be mixed with a handy penning of finished
lambs offered along with the plainer types. There were extra buyers present and competing in a dearer market.
Restockers continue to operate paying from $135 to $166/head. Trade weight lambs lifted $5 to $8 with 18 to 22kg selling from $158 to $178
and those up the 24kg receiving from $174 to $200/head. Heavy and extra heavy weights lambs were $4 better with heavy lambs to 26kg
selling from $189 to $213/head. Extra heavy weights sold from $210 to $249/head. Carcase prices averaged from 765c to 785c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality was very mixed with an increased offering of plainer sheep penned. Prices fluctuated with Merino ewes selling from $108 to
$212/head. Crossbreds sold from $106 to $220 with Dorper ewes receiving from $95 to $205/head. Merino wethers sold from $122 to
$189/head.
