Total Yarding – 28,150hd      Lambs – 22,700      Sheep – 5,450

 

Numbers lifted with lambs showing the increase. Lamb quality was similar to the previous sales with both well finished and plainer lambs
penned. The usual buyers were present and competing in a dearer market.
Light lambs to restockers sold from $80 to $160/head. Trade weight lambs lifted $10 with prices ranging from $150 to $188/head. Heavy
lambs to 26kg were $5 to $9 better selling from $185 to $218/head. Extra heavy weights lifted $6 to sell from $215 to $238/head. Carcase
prices averaged from 790c to 820c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers were made up of mostly Merinos and quality was mixed. Prices remained similar to the previous sale with Merino ewes
selling from $113 to $199/head. Crossbred ewes received from $115 to $212 and Dorper ewes sold from $117 to $208/head. Merino wethers
sold from $135 to $205/head.
