Numbers jumped with lambs showing the increase. Lamb quality was reduced slightly from the previous sale though there was still good
numbers of finished lambs on offer. The usual buyers were present and competing in an easier market.
Light lambs to restockers sold from $101 to $176/head. Trade weights were firm to $5 easier with prices ranging from $168 to $214/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weights were also $5/head easier and more in some places. Heavy lambs to 26kg sold from $196 to $248 while extra
heavy weights received from $248 to $298/head. Carcase prices averaged from 854c to 939c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality continues to be very mixed and Merinos made up the majority. Merino ewes sold from $122 to $230/head. Crossbred ewes
received from $120 to $277 with Dorper ewes selling from $122 to $235/head. Merino wethers ranged in price from $132 to $216/head.
