Total Yarding – 20,600hd      Lambs – 17,300      Sheep – 3,300

Numbers fell with mutton showing the decrease. Lamb quality was similar to the previous sales with both well finished and plainer lambs
penned. The usual buyers were present and competing along with restockers in another dearer market.
Light lambs to restockers sold from $153 to $200/head. Trade weights were $8 to $10 better with prices ranging from $190 to $230/head.
Heavy lambs to 26kgs were $5 to $7 better to receive from $220 to $270/head. Extra heavy weights held firm to slightly easier selling from
$268 to $320/head. Carcase prices averaged from 977c to 1024c/kg cwt.
Mutton quality continues to be mixed and Merinos made up the majority. Prices were again strong with Merino ewes selling from $138 to
$243/head. Crossbred ewes received from $148 to $262 and Dorper ewes reached $196/head. Merino wethers sold from $153 to $246/head
