Numbers fell though lamb numbers remained steady. Lamb quality was fair and similar to that of previous sales. Trade and heavy weight
lambs were well supplied. The usual buyers were present and competing in a cheaper market.
Light lambs to restockers sold from $101 to $200/head. Trade weights were $8 easier with prices ranging from $180 to $234/head. Heavy and
extra heavy weight lambs were $5 to $6/head easier. Heavy lambs to 26kg sold from $215 to $269 and extra heavy weights received from
$252 to $315/head. Carcase prices averaged from 939c to 990c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers declined and quality was very mixed though there was some good runs of Merino wethers offered. Merino ewes sold from
$132 to $230/head. Crossbreds received from $162 to $285/head. Merino wethers sold from $160 to $260/head.
