Numbers lifted this sale with lambs showing the change. Lamb quality was fair with good numbers of well finished lambs on offer. The usual
buyers were present and competing in a firm to dearer market that gained momentum as the sale progressed.
A few pens of new season lambs sold from $212 to $235/head. Store type lambs to restockers sold from $160 to $191/head. Trade weight
lambs were firm to $3 better with the 18 to 22kg portion selling from $168 to $210/head. Heavy lambs to 26kg lifted $3 to range in price from
$203 to $240/head. Export lambs were also $3 better to receive from $232 to $293/head. Carcase prices averaged from 825c to 895c/kg cwt.
Mutton numbers remained steady and quality was very mixed. Prices continue to be strong with Merino ewes selling from $148 to $220/head.
Crossbred ewes sold from $153 to $260 and Merino wethers made from $156 to $212/head.
