Lamb numbers eased and the quality was good. There were plenty of heavy lambs, trade weights were limited as were the light store lambs.
There was only a few Dorper lambs and a limited supply of Merinos. The market trend was dearer by $6 to $10/head across most lambs.
The few light store lambs sold from $78 to $147/head and lambs to feed on reached $184/head. Medium and heavy trade lambs were $9
dearer ranging from $178 to $193/head and averaged 830c/kg cwt. Heavy lambs had gains of $6 to $10/head and ranged from $180 to
$218/head averaging 800c to 830c/kg cwt. Extra heavy lambs 26 to 30kg lifted $12 selling between $208 and 245/head and over 30kg
reached $275/head. Heavy Merino lambs $160 to $224/head.
Muton number eased and the quality was plainer and prices dearer. Medium weight ewes $144 to $185/head. Heavy crossbred ewes $260 to
$269/head and Merinos reached $228/head. Most sold between 680c and 750c/kg cwt.
