There was an increase in lambs numbers but the quality was not as good. Whilst there were more trade lambs and heavy merinos, the extra heavy lambs were not as well supplied. The market sold to a slightly cheaper trend. Light restocking lambs ranged from $136 to $159/head. Trade lambs to 24kg were $8 cheaper, $171 to $188, averaging 770c to 780c/kg. The 24 to 26/kg cwt lambs averaged $3 cheaper $180 to $204/head or 750c/kg cwt. The heavy 26 to 30kg lambs were $3 softer $194 to $239/head or 740c/kg cwt on average and over 30kg lambs reached $285/head. Heavy Merino lambs sold from $198 to $223/head. Mutton numbers eased and the quality was mixed. Prices eased 43 to $7/head. Medium weight ewes $110 to $148/head and heavy crossbred ewes $188 to $220/head. Merino ewes $180 to $196/head.
