Numbers jumped this sale with both lamb and mutton showing the increase. Lamb quality was improved from the previous sale with a large offering of finished heavy and export lambs available. Not all the usual buyers were present and competing in an easier market.

Trade weight lambs held fairly steady with 30-24kg selling from $172 to $217/head. Heavy lambs eased slightly with those to 26kg selling from $213 to $243/head. Export lambs showed the biggest change slipping $6 to $8 to receive from $236 to $286/head. Carcase prices averaged from 821c to 874c/kg cwt.

Mutton quality was very mixed and Merinos made up the majority. Prices followed the easier trend with Merino ewes selling from $133 to $196/head. Crossbreds received from $130 to $186/head.
