Total Yarding – 19, 350 Hd 

Numbers lifted slightly this sale and quality continues to be very mixed. There were some handy well bred finished lambs penned along with the plainer secondary types. The usual buyers were present and competing in a market that fluctuated with the quality offered.

Trade weight lambs were $5 easier with 18kg to 24kg selling from $161 to $197/head. Heavy lambs to 26kg were also back $5 to $7 and more in places to receive from $190 to $213/head. Extra heavy lambs slipped $6 to $10 to range in price from $213 to $276.50/head. Carcase prices averaged from, 754 to 800c/kg cwt.

There was 3650 mutton penned and quality was also very mixed. Heavy Merino ewes sold from $173 to $240/head. Heavy cross reds ranged from $164 to $240 with the lighter plainer sheep selling from, $125 to $141/head.
