Yarded – 39,050hd     Lambs – 27,500     Sheep – 11,550 

Numbers lifted this sale with mutton showing the increase. Lamb quality was similar to that of previous sales with good numbers
of supplementary fed lambs offered. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to easier market.
Light lambs eased $2 to sell from $120 to $130/head. Trade weights were firm making from $130 to $172/head. Heavy and
extra heavy weight lambs declined $3 to $8/head. Heavy lambs sold from $165 to $188 with extra heavy weights receiving from
$188 to $246/head. Carcase prices averaged from 685c to 733c/kg cwt. Heavy Merino lambs sold from $165 to $220/head.
Mutton numbers lifted and quality was very mixed with Merinos making up the majority of the yarding. Prices remained strong
with Merino ewes selling from $105 to $198/head. Crossbred ewes received from $106 to $210 and Dorper ewes sold from $100
to $170/head. Merino wethers made from $108 to $186/head.
