Numbers remained similar this sale and quality was also similar to that of the previous sale. Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs
were well supplied and most well finished lambs were grain assisted. The usual buyers were present and competing in a firm to
cheaper market.
Light lambs eased by $3 to sell from $106 to $120/head. Trade weights were firm to $4 easier, making from $122 to $145/head.
Heavy and extra heavy weight lambs were well supplied and sold from $4 to $6/head easier. Heavy lambs up to 26kg made from
$143 to $170, with extra heavy weights selling from $170 to $220/head. Carcase prices averaged from 604c to 620c/kg.
Mutton quality was very mixed, with a large percentage of lighter sheep penned. Merinos made up the majority of the offering
along with a large percentage of Dorper ewes. Prices eased, with Merino ewes selling from $93 to $159/head. Crossbred ewes
made from $80 to $156 and Dorper ewes sold from $75 to $119/head. Merino wethers made to $158/head.
